Our Story

Built for service professionals

MyObra started in a small family business in New York City. My father spent years running his appliance repair business out of his car, bouncing between apps just to manage a single job. I built this for him.

Appliance repair work in New York City

My father has spent nearly a decade in appliance repair. He built his business the way most independent contractors do: word of mouth, a good reputation, and a system that lived mostly in his head. Notes app for customers. iMessages for job history. A folder of paperwork sitting in his car.

It worked. Until it didn't.

I tried to help. We looked at the popular apps together. He opened one, looked around for a few minutes, and that was it. Too complicated. Too many screens. Too much setup just to log a job he'd already finished.

That moment stuck with me. So I built MyObra.

One app where your customers, jobs, and invoices all live together. Log a job on the spot, add your line items, and the invoice is ready before you leave the driveway. No learning curve. No office manager required.

And because a lot of the contractors I grew up around move between English and Spanish depending on who's in the room, MyObra does too.
